This unprecedented event will take over the epic East London venue Bethnal Green Working Men\u2019s Club on 2nd\u00a0May 2014. Curated by Giulia Casalini.<\/p>\n<p>The funds raised for this event will support Teoremi Performance Festival, 12-14 June 2014 (the first Italian festival against discrimination of sexual orientation and gender identity) organized by Archivio Queer Italia.<\/p>\n<p>We accept proposals from Italian and non-Italian artists who want to show works around the theme of \u201cItalianness\u201d. Themes include, but are not restricted to: socio-cultural commentary, questions of identity, queer affects, critiques of nationalism, transgender, gender, homosexuality, pornography, minorities and marginalisation, critique of Catholicism, fetishism, racism, violence and the body.<\/p>\n<p>To apply for the event please email Giulia Casalini at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:info@test.archivioqueeritalia.com\">info@test.archivioqueeritalia.com<\/a>\u00a0including the following details:<\/p>\n<p>1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Name and Surname<\/p>\n<p>2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Place of birth (City and Country)<\/p>\n<p>3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Place of residency (City and Country)<\/p>\n<p>4)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A written brief proposal (no more than 500 words) and, if available, images of the work<\/p>\n<p>5)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Website of the artist or portfolio<\/p>\n<p>We aim to respond to all applications as soon as possible.
